Snow Peak System Ofuton HF Mat Plus

The Snow Peak System Ofuton HF Mat Plus brings together traditional Japanese futon design with modern outdoor functionality. Built for campers who don’t want to compromise on sleep quality, this system focuses on comfort, insulation and stability in changing conditions.

At its core, the set combines a sleeping mat and integrated duvet, designed to function as one cohesive system. The duvet is filled with hollow polyester insulation, helping retain warmth while remaining lightweight and packable.

A key feature is the six-point attachment system, which secures the duvet to the mat and prevents shifting during the night. This is something most camping sleep setups get wrong, and it makes a real difference in actual use.

Additional side flaps fold underneath the mat, locking in warmth and improving thermal efficiency. Combined with a drawcord closure at the top, the system helps trap heat around the body, making it suitable for cooler nights.

Despite its comfort focus, the Ofuton remains practical for travel. Both the mat and duvet are designed to be compact and easy to pack, making it a strong option for car camping or longer outdoor stays where comfort matters.

With a comfort temperature of 10°C and a minimum of 5°C, this system is best suited for spring, summer and mild autumn conditions.

If you’re serious about improving your sleep outdoors, this is one of those upgrades that actually changes your experience, not just your gear list.
