The K2 Passport 2027 is a unisex freeride snowboard for intermediate through expert riders who want to explore beyond a single type of terrain. Its direction is clear: confident piste riding, varied mountain snow and powder when conditions allow. The tapered directional shape combines a slightly wider-than-average waist with 8 mm of taper. That means the nose is wider than the tail, supporting easy turn entry and float, while the board remains usable for occasional switch riding.
Directional Combination Camber pairs camber support with an extended rocker section towards the nose. This is a hybrid camber concept, so the illustration below uses our hybrid camber guide. The image explains the general profile family rather than reproducing the Passport’s exact directional geometry. A tighter sidecut radius towards the tip and tail helps initiate turns; the longer radius between the feet gives the turn a more gradual, predictable middle.
The A1 Core combines aspen, bamboo and paulownia. ICG 10 Triax Glass with Carbon adds tip-to-tail energy and edge response, while Hybritech Construction shapes the structural connection around the board. A Sintered 4000 base with stone finish provides a durable running surface that benefits from regular wax. Standard and Wide sizes are available within the model range, with 2 x 4 inserts for conventional compatible bindings. This is the adult Passport for the 2026/2027 season.
Choose the size around your actual setup. Rider weight, boot footprint and riding style are more useful starting points than height alone. A longer board generally gives more platform and stability, while a shorter option feels easier to manoeuvre; the right balance depends on how and where you ride. Check toe and heel overhang with your own boots and binding angles, rather than relying only on the printed shoe size. Set the bindings using the board’s reference position as a sensible starting point, then adjust deliberately.
Keep the base maintained. A sintered base benefits from regular waxing suited to the snow temperature. Dry the board and edges after use, inspect the base for damage and store it somewhere dry. A consistent tune matters when you want predictable glide and edge contact through changing conditions.
