Arc’teryx Sabre Gore-Tex Bib Pant Men’s Regular Black

The Arc’teryx Sabre Bib Pant Men’s Regular in Black is a full-coverage freeride shell for skiing and snowboarding. The bib extends protection above the waist, making it useful when bending to adjust bindings or moving through deeper snow. This is style X000010451, the updated 100D Sabre Bib, rather than an earlier version with a different construction.

Its three-layer GORE-TEX ePE fabric uses a recycled nylon face, ePE and polyurethane membrane, and polyester backing. The 100D face focuses on durability, while the membrane provides waterproof, windproof and breathable protection. A low-loft fleece backer softens the inner surface. The separate stretch lining contains 86% nylon and 14% elastane. Select your thermal layers for the conditions rather than treating the bib as heavy insulation.

The revised Regular fit gives more room through the thighs and an adjusted rise. Suspenders work with an integrated belt to keep the pant secure. Try both adjustments together: the waist should feel stable without pulling the crotch upwards. Bend, sit and reach towards your boots during fitting. This Regular-length version is identified by the R in its size, so check the cuffs over your actual footwear.

An elasticated rear bib panel accommodates movement and ventilation through the back. The drop-seat opening is designed for bathroom access while wearing a pack. Get familiar with that opening before heading out, especially with your jacket and backpack in place. Small practical details become much more useful when you know where the zips and adjustments are, rather than discovering them in poor weather.

A zipped bib pocket and two zipped thigh pockets organise smaller items; the thigh storage includes a key loop and phone sleeve. Thigh ventilation zips release excess heat. Flexible instep reinforcements using Hadron yarns protect against repeated contact and sharp edges, while powder cuffs limit snow around your boots. The face fabric has a water-repellent treatment that needs appropriate cleaning. Arc’teryx specifies medium-temperature machine washing and tumble drying, double rinsing and no fabric softener.
