The Armada Sicko 2027 Snowboard is Alek Oestreng’s natural freeride model, built for riders who see the whole mountain as a place to link creative lines. Its tapered directional outline adds useful float and drive, while the flex stays balanced enough to keep the board lively rather than overly serious.
Armada gives the Sicko a 6/10 flex, making it supportive at speed without turning it into a plank. The 20 mm setback, wider nose and narrower tail help the board settle naturally into a forward stance. In deeper snow the nose gets extra lift, while on piste the directional geometry gives you a clear platform to pressure through a turn.
The profile combines Traditional Camber with Early Rise Rocker. Camber keeps the edge engaged and gives the board energy when loaded, while the early rise at the contact zones makes turn entry less abrupt and adds forgiveness in softer or chopped-up snow. On our own profile scale, this is a Hybrid Camber construction.
Inside, the Pop-Lownia Bamboo Core blends poplar, paulownia and bamboo. Bamboo stringers at the contact points increase support and add pop, while Armada’s Hybrid Glass Mix uses biax glass above the core and triax glass below it for a blend of response, stability and controlled torsional movement. Bamboosters Carbon Stringers reinforce longitudinal response without making the board unnecessarily rigid across its width.
A PTEX 3000 sintered base is built for speed and wax retention, and Titanal Impact Plates reinforce the binding area. The result is a technical freeride board with a freestyle edge, suited to riders who want one directional platform for fast resort laps, natural features and deeper days.
