The K2 Antidote 2027 is for riders who see freestyle possibilities across the mountain. A clean groomer, a side hit and a natural take-off can all belong to the same lap. Its directional twin shape keeps that freestyle approach while adding a setback stance for forward riding. K2 places it with advanced and expert riders: this is a board to actively load and steer.
The camber profile supplies support through turns and take-offs. The nose and tail share the same maximum width, so this model has no taper, although the reference stance is set back. That distinction matters: directional twin does not mean a fully centred twin. It is a useful balance if you enjoy switch riding and landings but still spend much of the day travelling in your usual direction.
The defining detail is the 3 mm 3D Base Contour. This spoon-like shaping blends gradually into the running surface around the ends, helping the board enter turns and move through softer, disturbed snow. It is shaping across the base, not a replacement for camber in the side profile. You keep the camber’s engaged character while the raised contact areas make the ends easier to redirect.
Inside, the A1 Core combines aspen, bamboo and paulownia. Aspen supplies the main structure, bamboo reinforces the binding zones and lighter paulownia reduces mass towards the ends. Carbon DarkWeb places carbon in an X pattern from the inserts to support response. This is relevant when you transfer pressure between edges or ask the board to hold its shape through a loaded take-off.
SpaceGlass in the tip and tail supports the contact areas without loading the ends with unnecessary weight. Recess3D removes material in lower-stress zones to reduce swing weight further. For a rider bringing freeride and freestyle together, the point is a board that can be redirected while still offering support. The Wax-Infused Sintered 4001 base, stone finish and standard 2 × 4 inserts complete the construction.
Use weight and boot fit to choose your size. The 157 has a 252 mm waist and 1190 mm effective edge; the 159 increases these to 255 mm and 1210 mm. That step gives more platform and edge length, rather than only two extra centimetres on paper. Wide sizes add clearance for larger boots.
