The fabric is made from 100% recycled face fabric, and the fabric, membrane and DWR finish are made without intentionally added PFAS. Functionally, the Torrentshell 3L is set up for changing conditions and regular use. The two-way-adjustable hood features a laminated visor for better coverage and can roll down and stow with a simplified cord-and-hook system when not needed. At the collar, a microfleece-lined neck adds comfort against the skin while maintaining the jacket’s protective barrier. The center-front zipper is designed to stay snag-free and is backed by external and internal storm flaps, with a zipper garage at the top for added chin comfort.

Storage and ventilation are kept practical. Two welt handwarmer pockets handle daily essentials, while welted pit zips help release heat during higher-output movement. When the weather clears, the jacket self-stuffs into the left handwarmer pocket, making it easy to pack and carry, and a carabiner clip-in loop adds utility on the move.

A regular fit keeps layering straightforward, while self-fabric hook-and-loop cuff closures and an adjustable drawcord hem help seal out wind and precipitation.
