Rome Slapstick 2027 Snowboard

Rome Slapstick 2027 is a youth true twin for confident young riders who want a real freestyle shape with manageable flex and durable construction. It has a clear identity on snow: supportive when loaded, predictable through transitions and deliberately shaped for the terrain it is meant to ride.

The Contact Camber profile determines how pressure builds through a turn and how the board releases. Combined with a true twin outline, it gives this model its stance on edge, in soft snow and when riding switch. Rome’s soft and playful flex is best read inside the brand’s own range: it indicates how readily the board bends and how much support remains when speed and landing forces rise.

A Stomp Core forms the main structure. Rome adds a youth-tuned Bamboo HotRod to direct energy where it is useful without turning the whole deck into a rigid plank. The Biax laminate control torsional response, so edge input stays connected while the board can still work naturally beneath the bindings. Together, these elements explain the board’s response more accurately than a single flex number.

The Tri-Radial sidecut shapes the way the edge enters, holds and finishes a turn. Underneath, the Impact Base base matches the intended use and rewards regular waxing. Twin Diamond 3D is used to lift the contact zones for smoother presses, butters and transitions through tracked snow.

With a soft and playful flex, the board stays easy to bend and correct at lower speed. It suits progression, presses and riders who value manoeuvrability over maximum stability. At high speed or on hard landings it offers less resistance than Rome’s firmer models, so choose it when control and confidence matter more than raw power.

Use the official table below to select length, waist width and stance range. Correct boot clearance and board length matter as much as rider weight: too little width can create toe or heel drag, while too much can slow edge changes. Centre the bindings, start near the reference stance and adjust in small steps. Wax the base for the local snow, dry the board after riding and repair deep damage before moisture reaches the core.

Compare it with the rest of our Rome snowboard collection. If two sizes overlap, Behind The Pines can help weigh boot size, rider weight, preferred terrain and the amount of stability or agility you want.
