The Arc’teryx Atom Jacket Habitat is a lightweight insulated jacket designed to deliver versatile warmth across a wide range of conditions. Built as part of the Arc’teryx Atom Series, it functions both as a technical midlayer and a standalone outer layer, making it suitable for outdoor activities as well as everyday wear.
At the core of the jacket is Coreloft™ Compact 60 insulation (60 g/m²), a synthetic insulation that retains warmth even when exposed to moisture. Unlike traditional down, synthetic fibres maintain their insulating properties in damp environments, making the Atom Jacket a dependable option in unpredictable weather conditions.
The outer shell is constructed from Tyono™ 20 fabric, a lightweight yet durable nylon material that provides wind resistance and abrasion durability. The fabric is treated with a fluorocarbon-free DWR (Durable Water Repellent) finish, allowing light rain and moisture to bead off the surface while maintaining breathability.
Inside, the jacket features a Dope Permeair™ lining, made from breathable recycled nylon. The dope-dye process adds pigment during fibre production rather than after weaving, reducing water consumption, lowering CO₂ emissions and improving colour durability.
To enhance mobility and temperature regulation, the jacket incorporates stretch fleece side panels. These panels increase ventilation and flexibility, allowing greater freedom of movement during active use.
The Atom Jacket is designed with articulated sleeves, improving ergonomics and range of motion during activities such as climbing, hiking or travel. Elastic cuffs and an adjustable hem help seal in warmth while maintaining a comfortable fit.
Practical storage is provided through two zippered hand pockets and one internal zip pocket, offering secure space for small essentials. The jacket also features No Slip Zip™ technology and large TPU zipper pulls that are easy to operate even while wearing gloves.
With its lightweight construction, small pack size and versatile insulation, the Arc’teryx Atom Jacket Habitat is designed for year-round use across activities ranging from hiking and climbing to everyday outdoor wear.
